Fiona looks forward to Enrichment days at Sirius Strides. She is always excited to get out of the car and go to any staff member that is there to greet her. There are times I feel bad because she exits the car and doesn’t look back! The staff are always warm and friendly to both Fiona and me. I feel confident that Fiona is in a safe environment and appreciate the socialization and reinforcement training she receives when she is at the facility. Fiona started in Puppy Class and advanced to Level 1 and 2 training. In addition, she has attended outdoor Meet Ups, Rally Meet Ups, and recently completed the Mt. Sirius Challenge. Each of these experiences has increased Fiona’s confidence and built positive relationships with other dogs and humans. Fiona is also a regular at the Community Dog Walks on Sunday mornings. I have recommended Sirius Strides to several friends who are grateful to have the same experience that we have. Thanks for training Fiona and her humans!
We adopted our rescue lab mix when she was about three years old. At the time, she desperately needed to find dog friends she could be around without aggressively barking while on a leash. The community walks have been the perfect answer for her. She is now able to approach some dogs calmly without excessive barking, and she has even developed several new best friends. We have definitely recommended these walks to several friends, both those who have concerns with their dogs and others who are just looking for a fun activity.
We absolutely love Sirius Strides Dog Training! Archie attends their drop-off training about once a week, and we’ve also participated in group training classes and meet-ups. He began attending shortly after I adopted him at 4 months, and he is almost 2 years old. We also use their grooming services (Tawny actually groomed my dogs before we started coming to Sirius Strides), which has been such a convenient bonus, and Tawny always does a phenomenal job! Archie genuinely enjoys going to Sirius Strides. I can see how excited he is to go to “school” every time! Archie is a rescue dog, and I’ve seen such an incredible boost in his confidence, training, and social skills. He has learned so many new skills, and I am always surprised at how much he can do. I love that the training is all positive reinforcement based and encourages the dogs to make good choices on their own. The trainers are all kind, approachable, and always willing to answer questions. The program consistently reinforces his training, and it’s been a great, safe alternative to traditional doggy daycare. Archie is high-energy, and after a day at Sirius Strides (or a meetup), he always comes home tired! I highly recommend Sirius Strides to anyone looking for a well-rounded, positive experience for their dog!
I started bringing Bruiser to Sirius Strides the day after I rescued him at five months old. I was extremely grateful that due to his small size and lack of any socialization, that Lois accommodated him and let us into the puppy class to start with. The facility quickly became his favorite place after his initial nervousness and that class really helped us bond and learn how to communicate with each other so quickly. Since then, we've done just about everything there is to do at Sirius Strides! Now he is just over a year old and is shaping up to be an incredibly well behaved, confident pup. I have taken him into many pet-friendly shops with people complimenting his calm demeanor. He went from not knowing how to walk on a leash at all to walking at a heel easily. Not only that, but with the classes also being geared toward teaching the owners how to train their dogs, I learned the tools to teach him cute tricks like roll over! Everyone from the instructors to the fellow owners is so kind and approachable, I enjoy coming to classes and meetups as much as Bruiser does. The groomers are also fantastic! Bruiser loves getting bathed by Gina and Tawny does a phenomenal job on haircuts, even more intricate styles like this modified continental clip on him.
