TRAINING CLASS 1 – HANDLING AND ENGAGEMENT
For training to be successful, the dog must be a willing and active participant.
Dogs will learn: • To focus on the handler • To become invested in the training process • To develop a high level of engagement • To focus on training in the presence of distractions and other dogs • Sit, Down, Spot, Come, Loose Leash Walking with Attention
Handlers will learn: • To communicate clearly with a clicker • To communicate with verbal markers • To communicate with body language • Good leash skills • To teach your dog to think and offer behaviors independently (this is the strongest type of learning)
Class sizes range from 4-6 dogs COST: 4 week class for $200
**Please make sure you are available for all 4 classes. We may be able to offer make up classes with an additional fee of $30 per class. Make Up classes are dependent on our trainer’s time if available to provide.
